Park Facilities
Colonial Tweed is located right on the southern bank Tweed River. You can fish, swim, snorkel and sail on this beautiful waterway. The surrounding pathways invite you to enjoy a leisurely or heart pumping walk in great surroundings. We also have some great bike riding tracks.
OUR SWIMMING POOL
The park provides a leisure area with an alluring swimming pool with a view of the Tweed River. The pool is strategically placed close to the camp kitchen for those BBQ afternoons after a full day of swimming and pool side lounging. Our pool has a shallow and for the little ones and a steeper end for the more advanced swimmer.
All children under the age of 12 must be supervised at all times during pool play. Please adhere to any rules regarding use of the swimming pool.
THE CAMP KITCHEN
Our brand-new camp kitchen contains all the modern cooking features and appliances you'll need. The kitchen features two BBQ's with lots of seating both indoors and out. Adequate lighting, kitchen and ceiling fans have been installed throughout the area to accommodate for coocking during hot summer temperatures.
Please use our fridge and freezer throughout your stay but make sure to be courteous to others and label your food and only take up as much space as needed. Also, please make sure you clean up after you are done in the kitchen. Basic cleaning supplies are available in the kitchen.
THE RECREATION ROOM
Our popular recreational room features a 50" Television which is great on rainy afternoons or if you want some space from your kids/partner/parent. We have ample seating for people who want to play boardgames or just have a chat. We also keep a shared library/swop book shop where you can leave and pick up books from all corners of the world. Just make sure you return your books before you leave our park. Here you can also borrow our local papers and flyers.
We also have many contractor business cards in case you need assistance while staying with us. Just ask our friendly staff in reception is you need any more information.
THE AMENITY BLOCK
We have two men's and two ladies' block with separate shower cubicles, making the hygiene procedure as comfortable and easy as possible, especially if you are camping.
Our LAUNDRY has both WASHING MACHINES & DRYERS.
We have a laundry powered dispenser. $1 coin change is available from reception. We also have a large handing area with lots of clothes line space. At Colonial Tweed, we pride ourselves on providing clean and user friendly amenities.
